Six Flags

This outdoor twisted billboard ad was done by Raisa Ivannikova of SVA in New York. It took me a second, but when I got it, I had to check my pants. The whole campaign can be seen at I Have an Ideas Academia section. Thoughts?

am i missing something? or is this just showing the would-be effect of a passing roller coaster from Six-Flags? if so, ehh. leaves too much open to interpretation. i thought of a sign breaking apart at first. anything coming apart is not a good association, obviously. maybe there's an executional solution to this?

I think you're reading too much into it.

I wouldn't nec. say its the effect of a passing roller coaster so much as the twisted billboard in the shape of a roller coaster track is a metaphor.

Simple, beautiful, branding. I think there needs to be a tag, and maybe they could re-orient the logo, but the idea itself is one that makes me really wish I had come up with it.

hmmm, i think if it's just a twisted sign in the shape of a track I really don't like it. No offense. But if that's the idea then it seems kinda flat. the effect of strong wind left by a passing roller coaster is a bit more clever since it's not as obvious. i think it would be a better branding idea as well. as the concept taps into the emotional/adrenaline rush of riding.

Arthur, your presumption of me over thinking this idea is disappointing. You're telling me there's no way anyone can have a similar reaction as I without over analyzing the concept? Believe it or not, it's possible to have a different opinion with equal conviction.

I think we should all have a good cry.

I get it: it's unexpected. But without a tag or something that ties it back to the concept. it's just kinda loose, ambiguous.
