It is what is. They're ads for a fancy toilet. So it's fancy toilet phrases. I think the art direction could help these by creating a dichotomy between funny and fancy. If the feel was more Kohler looking, dark clean, and beautiful. Like a typical ad then the line would be more of a twist. Right now they're a little jokey but still pretty funny.
in the end they're based on old jokes with a slight language twist. would a knock-knock joke be better with a slightly different variant? i would hope not. i'm not really turned off by the humor rather it's the recycling of age old jokes that's easily dismissive.
I laughed so hard at the day spa one. I couldn't tell they were toilets from the smaller image, and that totally caught me off guard.
And now for a nitpicky art direction question: I was wondering why the logo err...potty was in the lower right for two and was in a different place in the third?

These are hilarious. You can't get away with this kind of stuff in the real world, but a good old poop joke get's me everytime.
for the same reasons stated above, I don't like these. They're formulaic and tongue and cheek. Kinda garners a whaa whaa whaa reaction.

"Drop the kids off at the Day Spa"? C'mon, you have to admit you laughed at that.
take a le deux! can't beat that.
these are hilarious. the art direction is great, i think...simple and clean. i like them a lot.
I like the approach for the ads.
It's classy toilet humor, if you will. Though I don't want to say Tongue-in-cheek, because that conjures bad imagery.
Also, the clean art direction is the right direction, especially considering what the product is for.
There is some swanky restaurant in LA called "Le Deux". I saw that somewhere right after I had seen these ads and I laughed out loud.
